After a long 27-hour trip, I made it to Chiang Mai. Did you realize, flying from Atlanta, to Sole you fly over the North Pole!

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside my door
I'm leavin' on a jet plane

But wait a minute - they now say Internationl checkin is 3-hr before
flight. That's 8:15 AM minus 3-hr minus 1-hr drive to airport minus
30-mins to shower/dress --- O-the-heck with it -- might as well stay
up all night.
I'll have time to get some sleep - the flight is ONLY 27-hrs.....

It's Jan 7th, just a few short weeks before I leave for Chiang Mai, Thailand.
But, Todd (my traveling partner on this trip) is leaving on the 9th.
(he just had to get there before me.....)
